Sailors chose to stay and watch the incredible upset between Michigan Hockey and Boston University where we beat them 4-0 on Friday night before heading out to Hope College for the MCSA Fall Championships this past weekend.
The breeze on Saturday was around seven to ten knots and clocking west throughout the day. Our A fleet got mostly firsts and seconds through out the day and B fleet consistently top five. We ended the day tied in second with Wisconsin with Northwestern in first. Sailors returned to their host, DJ Litts', home to watch Michigan versus Iowa. Grief stricken by our loss, the sailors headed to bed to rest up for the heavy breeze on Sunday.
The breeze built to 13 to 20 knots on Sunday and sailors headed out. We were able to pull ahead of Wisconsin, but unable to catch Northwestern's strong lead. The team ended up in second place overall for the regatta.
